The vacuum table is a melamine mdf sheet, glass is better but expensive. The glass is wet out and layed on the table then the panel then the other glass sheet

is wet out and applied to the top of the panel before a layer of non porous plastic and finally a layer of porous felt before the bag is sealed to the table.
